Gymkee teaches at CREPS Île-de-France
Future personal trainers in Île-de-France learn the digital side of coaching with Gymkee open on their screen. Here is what CREPS is, what we do there, and what you can take from it.
What CREPS Île-de-France is
CREPS stands for Centre de Ressources, d'Expertise et de Performance Sportive. The CREPS are public institutions of the French sports ministry: each region has one, and their two historical missions are hosting high-level athletes and training the professionals who work in sport.
CREPS Île-de-France is the Paris-region centre, located in Châtenay-Malabry. Its professional training department prepares the state diplomas and certifications that let someone legally coach in France, including the personal-trainer track that Gymkee is part of.
For a coach, a CREPS diploma is not a weekend certificate. It is a supervised programme with instructors from the field, practical hours, and a jury. That is exactly why we care about being in the room.
What Gymkee does there
Mohamed Alaoui, Gymkee co-founder and CEO, is an associate trainer at CREPS Île-de-France. He teaches in the personal-trainer training programme, on the part of the job that no anatomy course covers: managing clients, building and sending programmes, running nutrition follow-ups, getting paid, and doing all of it without drowning in spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads.
The lessons are built on the real product. Students open Gymkee, create a client, build a programme, send it, and see what the client receives on their phone. They leave the course having already done, once, everything they will do with their first paying client.
We are not the only ones using Gymkee at CREPS. Kands, coach and instructor at CREPS Île-de-France, has been using Gymkee with his own clients since 2019, long before any of this was formal.

How Gymkee is used in training
There is no student discount or special plan to announce here, and we would rather say so than invent one. What students get is the real product, the same one 4,000+ coaches use, and the way we teach it.
One client, from first call to first programme
Students create a client, run the initial assessment, write a first programme and send it. The whole loop, on the actual tool, in one session.
Programming that survives contact with reality
Progressions, alternatives when the client has no equipment, feedback after each workout. Students learn to read what the client sends back instead of guessing.
Nutrition without a second app
Meal plans, recipes and daily tracking live next to the training programme. Students see why coaches who add nutrition keep clients longer.
Getting paid like a business
Subscriptions, one-off packs, invoices. The part of the job that turns a diploma into an income, shown on a real payment flow.
The free trial is the student offer
Every student, at CREPS or anywhere else, can open a Gymkee account for 14 days with no credit card, build their programmes during the course, and decide later.
Frequently asked questions
Is Gymkee an official partner of CREPS Île-de-France?
Gymkee co-founder Mohamed Alaoui is an associate trainer at CREPS Île-de-France and teaches in the personal-trainer programme. There is no commercial agreement, sponsorship or paid placement behind that: it is a teaching role, and this page describes it as such.
Do CREPS students get a discount on Gymkee?
No dedicated student plan or discount exists today. Students use the standard 14-day free trial, with no credit card, to build their programmes during the course. If that changes, this page will say so.
Can my school or training organisation get the same thing?
Yes. If you train coaches, write to hello@gymkee.com. We come and teach the digital side of coaching in your programme, and every student can work on the real product during the course.
What does CREPS teach that Gymkee does not?
Everything that makes someone a coach: anatomy, physiology, pedagogy, safety, the state diploma itself. Gymkee covers the tooling around the job: clients, programmes, nutrition, payments. The two are complementary, which is why the lesson exists.
